This is the first time I have ordered something this big and cost on the Internet. I must say it was great. Amazon was great and the delivery company was excellent. TV – Only issue is the audio sync. I have called LG (India??) who have said a tech will call me. When I asked when – I was advised my issue would in put in the queue. I really do like the TV but if they cannot resolve the audio issue, it’s going back. Various blogs also report this issue but no one can advise me how to resolve it. I’ll have to wait for LG.

All aspects and setups of this tv were sraight forward and simple.The picture quality and performance is just as crystal as my much more expensive 55 inch six month old Samsung.But the audio output is far superior which i found surprising as i beleived all flat screens speaker systems were barely adequate.

If you play video games or watch sports this is a great tv. The only complainant I have is it only has one type of audio output (optical). Didn’t give me a problem because my surround reciever has an optical input. Just had to go buy a cable (about 20 bucks)

Purchased this tv on Dec.14 2009,based on favorable reviews.Easy to set up,disappointed with picture quality compared to our samsung 46 inch hdtv.

Major problem with this tv, After many hours ,talking to lg support and with comcast cable people who came to my home,I cannot get any signal when I connect the hdmi. lg will not replace the tv. Terrible situation after spending that much money.

The TV is great. Delivery from DataVision Computer Video was great. Estimated delivery was Jan 22-27 and it arrived Jan 21. However, LG left out the screws to secure the base. Customer service was very patient (I was a little upset) and helpful. They gave me the size (4×24mm #2 head if it happens to you). I had to purchase them.

Philips 42TA648BX/37 42″ 1080p LCD HDTV Review

I purchased this product on Black Friday as an early Christmas gift. It’s my first flat panel HD TV. I bought it on the specs, the Philips name and the price.

Set up was a snap. It took longer to get it out of the box than to get it operational. The remote is intuitive. The on screen menus are simple and straightforward.

For me coming from a traditional TV, the picture is outstanding. Colors are rich and lush. The blacks are black. The detail is amazing. You can see the pores on news anchors’ skin. The screen is viewable from multiple angles.

Speakers are hidden within the unit’s case. Sound quality is excellent.

Setting up other devices (DVD player, game console) was simple. It has more connectors than I expect I’ll need (at least for now).

This unit provides a lot of value.

“I bought this tv a few weeks ago for our kids to use for their viewing. (XBOX 360/ WII, ..etc.) The XBOX 360 graphics when using HDMI are incredible.

Sound is good enough. FWIW, the headphone jack is a nice feature for use w/ wireless headphones. i.e. The kids can put on headphones and “voila!” peace and quiet.

HD channels are very crisp/clear. Standard def is pretty good also. (standard def depends alot on signal strength from your cable provider.)

Overall I gave the tv a 5-star rating b/c of the low price and reasonable performance ratio. This is not a high-end Sharp or Sony so I am not considering that in the review. It is however several hundred dollars less that the high end.”

For the price of 0 you will unlikely find a 42″ LCD that has as great quality as this Philips! I had a Vizio 32″ prior to upgrading and saw a remarkable difference in the picture, sound and overall appearence!!!
